Tariffs Addendum
In my article last Friday here about the very basic concepts of tariffs that the Trump/MAGOPs are ignoring and avoiding to explain, which are potentially disastrous, I left out one very important thing that's incredibly basic, too. I've added it to the article as an "UPDATE," but thought I should note it here separately, as well.
UPDATE: When you add tariffs, it pushes your trading partners to look for other countries to trade with, most especially with agriculture. So, a country that gets, for example, soybeans from the U.S. will likely now look elsewhere, and find a new trading partner for that. And not only does this mean U.S. farmers are now stuck with produce they have no one to sell it to, but worse -- those partnerships risk never coming back.
