I've written in the past that I cringe at the beyond far-right politics Craig Mazin, a very successful screenwriter (he co-wrote two of the Hangover movies, among others) who I've crossed paths with a few times, though I suspect he doesn't remember me. We had a few email debates, as well, that were teeth-gnashing. A far-right friend who has worked with Craig once laughed and said, "Craig's politics make me look moderate."
But -- he was Ted Cruz's roommate in college and his hatred of Cruz is so deep that his public comments are hilarious. He's said that if he had to vote in election where Cruz was a candidate, he'd rather open the phone book and blindly point at any anybody else. He's also made some very funny, scathing comments about Cruz's personal habit. His hatred of Ted Cruz knows no bounds. Among his best tweets --
"And, you know, I want to be clear, because Ted Cruz is a nightmare of a human being. I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully, his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality. If he agreed with me on every issue, I would hate him only 1 percent less."
And perhaps his most hilariously blunt, coming after Cruz gave a holier-than-thou speech on morals --
"Ted Cruz thinks people don't have a right to 'stimulate their genitals.' I was his college roommate. This would be a new belief of his."

Anyway, there was a Tweet today from political consultant Peter Daou, who wrote, "If you've eaten lunch, don't watch Ted Cruz humiliate himself trying to dismiss the Russia story. How does someone like that sleep at night?"
Well. If something isn't a perfect set-up for Craig Mazin, this is it. Daou's Tweet came to his attention, and Mazin responded back --
"I can answer this one. No shirt, armpits out, hands behind his head, greasy. Sociopaths fall asleep the second their head hits the pillow."
