Still South Pacific, Iconic Moment Edition

Today we have a third video of Mary Martin starring on stage in South Pacific, this the London production opposite Wilbur Evans.  And for its own reasons, it's a particular treat.



Mary Martin probably has four iconic moments on stage.  The first is her performance of  "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" from Cole Porter's musical, Leave It to Me!, the song which introduced her and made her a star.  Two others are "Do Re Mi" from The Sound of Music and "I'm Flying" from Peter Pan.  And the fourth -- by the way, let's pause a moment to be in awe of someone with four iconic moments... -- was when she took a shower and washed her hair on stage every night in South Pacific.
