Still Scott Free but More...!
Well, okay, I have another of those homage remakes of old TV series opening credits that Adam Scott has done. (He did four in all, so there's one more to go.) But I was able to find out more about them.
These were done for the AdultSwim channel, under the title of "The Greatest Event in TV History" -- and so were clearly made as a way to draw people's attention to the channel to see the oddities, and then hopefully stick around once there.
But also, it turns out that these "credit" sequences were only part of the point -- and just the end part. Because each of the videos are actually 15-minute "behind-the-scenes" Making of... comedy films. Though those are all scripted or at least structured and ad-libbed. Ending with the final product, the opening sequence homage.
So, here is the new video recreating the opening sequence of "Hart to Hart," which he stars with Amy Poehler. But if you want to see the full effort, I'll post that right after.
And here is the full "Making of..." comedy video.
