Yes, it's true, the new Star Wars film actually, truly and finally opens today. This is really good news. Not because it means people can actually, truly and finally see the movie, but because all the promotional ad tie-ins will be over. Okay, not officially over yet, it's going to be a while still, as promotions play out their life span and ads continue to support the early run -- because as we know, Star Wars needs all that support -- but it's at least the end of the pre-release promotion. And the start of it all winding down.
In honor of that, here is Elisberg Industries' one and thus far only piece about Star Wars. But despite all the likely burn-out of folks, I think it's well-worth it..
This is a hoot. If you didn't see it on the Tonight Show, it's very clever and a lot of fun. This is a video that Jimmy Fallon made with his house band, the Roots – and most of the cast of the new Star Wars film. And it’s really wonderfully done. I shall say no more.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
