SNL Does Bathroom Humor -- But Not Like That
Okay, this is the final video from last week's Saturday Night Live -- getting it in under the wire before this week's show is broadcast.
It's a bit of a weird sketch, just on the good side of creepy, but funny and clever, and a terrific parody of musicals, mostly Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This one is "Bodega Bathroom" with some smart parody lyrics which makes me think John Mulanely might have possibly been involved with the writing, even though he was the guest host. It's not just that he's a former writer on the show, but the last time he hosted they also did a parody musical -- and only a couple weeks before he co-wrote (with Seth Meyers) and starred in that parody musical faux-documentary on the series Documentary Now!
Regardless, it's a lot of fun -- albeit just on the good side of creepy...
