Snack Time
Apparently there is an ongoing series of British videos from a group called LADbible (for some reason) where celebrities are asked to compare snacks from the UK with snacks from the celebrity’s home country. They call it “Snack Wars.” This is one of the longest, 11-and-a-half minutes, but it’s a lot of fun, often very funny – in fact, it’s easily the best of the handful I watched, but that’s helped wildly because the guest is Steve Carell.
One quibble: one of the contests compare a U.K. chip to a U.S. cheese puff snack from the T.G.I. Friday’s brand. And while I’ve never had those from TGIF, they’re the fluffy kind of cheese puff, and I far, far, far prefer the crunchier type from Cheetos. So, as a “cheese puff” comparison, the British producers didn’t know the right one to offer, and I say it was an unfair competition, and I would have protested to the judges…
