Sing Fourth

Not shockingly, when playing a bunch of 4th of July songs, we have something now from the musical 1776.  But not from the original Broadway cast or movie -- since they're one and the same, and you can see the latter on Turner Classic Movies today...and every year, happily.  Rather, this comes from the 1997 revival, that originally starred Brent Spiner, but who had left the show by the time this number was performed on the Tony Awards, when it was nominated as Best Revival of a Musical.  Playing John Adams here is his replacement, Michael McCormick.  It's the very opening of the show with "Sit Down, John."
