Sending a Real Tweet
This is a fun video featuring actor Zachary Levi (who sings up a storm) -- best known for the series Chuck -- and Bert from Sesame Street. Together, they extol the joys of going outdoors as opposed to having a social media social life.
It's a joint project from the National Parks Foundation and the Sesame Workshop. (Keep an eye open for Kal Penn who has a brief cameo as the Selfie Guy. Not to mention a cameo by my fave, Grover...)
And so, of course, it's hard not to miss the little bit of irony of this video being passed along on...er, social media. But so be it. That's the point, after all. And after all, as Zach and the Ernie-less Bert tells us --
Bees are always buzzing 'bout the flowers they have seen.
And every tree is trending,
I don't miss my little screen,
Because the sky won't need a filter
And the birds tweet just to say:
You should really take a walk on this lovely sunny day.
-- plus, outdoors there are...oh, boy, pigeons!! And it's not just the Internet that has clouds.
