I absolutely love a comment today by Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member of the House Intelligence committee. He was asked about whether Donald Trump Jr.'s action may have been a crime rather than just an inappropriate action. His answer, and I paraphrase but am close, was --

​This goes far beyond an inappropriate action. And it's important that we don't lower the bar of our standards. We have to look at this not only from the standpoint of whether this was a crime or not, but that it's a break in moral responsibility & the obligations of citizenship.
