Prine Time

We're going to turn today's page over to John Prine.  This is a song he wrote in 1968, and as he's said, he thought it would have a shelf life of two months, since it was written during the Vietnam War.  He put it away for many years, but after several decades he brought it back, continued to do so every 10 years.

The last time he began singing it was about a decade ago.  Back that, the person in the Oval Office was Donald Trump.  It turns out that it fits again.  And it turns out that his introduction fits one that a friend of mine uses, as well.

So, here again, 48 years later and still relevant is John Prine and his song, "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore."
