I don't tend to care much when guests are on a talk show and start waxing eloquent about their family. It's got to be really high-end funny or all-out fascinating for me to not fast-forward through tales of home life, that are pretty much the same as anyone's tales of home life.
But I always love, love, love it when John Oliver talks about his wife. Because it's not only all-out fascinating, but really high-end funny. And adds a wonderful perspective to why I have liked John Oliver so much for such a long time that I recommended him years ago .to a producer friend who was casting a film.
Anyway, after posting the piece on him yesterday, I thought it only to follow-up Oliver with...more.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
