Okay, here is the song I had intended to post yesterday, to mark the occasion of the baseball season and the start of the Chicago Cubs first game.
This is a song I love from a singer-songwriter I love, Tom Paxton. It's not one of his well-known songs, but a joy regardless. In pure Paxon style, it tells a lovely story so smartly, with some unexpected directions, and an utterly infectious melody. It's called "My Favorite Spring."
