Peter, Paul and Merry

I've long said that if I had to pick one song to have written, there's a good chance it would be "Puff, the Magic Dragon."  There are few songs I know that bring so much extreme pleasure to so many generations almost equally -- little children, parents and grandparents.  And they can't help but want to sing along when they hear that chorus.

This may be my favorite version of it, and the right season for it.  It comes from a Peter, Paul and Mary holiday special that they did for PBS, and what I love so much about it is the utter joy and wonderment you see on nearly all the faces -- little children, parents and grandparents.  And all of them lost in the moment as they sing along...with that chorus.

O those faces and pure joy. Quite a song that can do that.
