Sorry, I should have posted this a week ago, but what with the CES swirl, some things got put on hold. Ultimately, the timing of things, or even the substance, doesn't really matter much, because Carly Fiorina (R-HP) is dropping so fast in the polls they might be sending out search-and-rescue teams (the last I saw she was down to 1%), but it's still worth noting how far some political candidates will go to pander to voters. All the more impressive given that she doesn't stand a chance. But Ms. Fiorina -- a graduate of Stanford, which was playing Iowa in the Rose Bowl (Iowa, you know Iowa, the state that's holding the first presidential caucus...) -- sent out a tweet a few days ago that said...well, here read it for yourself because you might not believe me. You may recall that three months ago, Ms. Fiorina was SO proud of her alma mater that she touted her undergraduate degree in medieval history and philosophy as how she would defeat ISIS. I guess that that doesn't extend to football.
It will not shock you that the response on her Twitter account was scathing in pointing out the hilarious and blatantly pathetic pandering. And just as a reminder, her new-love Iowa was crushed in the Rose Bowl by the rejected Stanford by a score of 45-16. Apparently, hell hath no fury like an alma mater scorned. But I'm sure that Iowa voters will appreciate how much her support helped...
