New Newley

It's always a pleasure to find a video from early in Anthony Newley's career, before the Newleyism mannerisms completely took over.  This video isn't without them, but they're at a significant minimum and are even interpolated reasonably well into the performance.

It's also nice to see an early medley of his three most-famous songs from the show that brought him to fame in America, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, sung fairly closely to when they were written (in 1961), so that we get somewhat of a  more "original intent" performance rather than trying to impress us with their Importance.

I don't know for sure where this 1964 clip took place, but it looks like an appearance on the Hollywood Palace. Here then is a medley of "Once in a Lifetime, "Gonna Build a Mountain" and "What Kind of Fool Am I?"
