Next Sunday, September 13, the cast of The Princess Bride will be reuniting to do a reading of the script as a fundraiser for Wisconsin. Any amount will get one an invite.  It is scheduled to begin at 7 PM East Coast time, and 4 PM on the West Coast.

Among those participating are Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Carol Kane, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, Rob Reiner, and special guests.

A Q&A will be moderated by Patton Oswalt.

By the way, the second best thing about this is that The Princess Bride is apparently Ted Cruz's favorite movie,  he quotes it often, and this event is driving him crazy on Twitter, upset that they're taking this beautiful wonderful film and playing politics with it..  And better still, some of the cast has been tweeting him back and giving him huge grief,

This isn't the first time the cast has trashed Cruz over the film.  Billy Crystal has called Cruz's impersonation "a little creepy."  And back in 2015 when appearing on the CBS This Morning show, Mandy Patinkin criticized Cruz for his statements that we "need a war president" to defeat ISIS.  Patinkin said --

"I just wanted to ask, since he quotes all the lines from 'The Princess Bride', why he doesn't quote my favorite line? And those words were -- and are forever -- 'I have been in the revenge business so long, now that it's over, I do not know what to do with the rest of my life.'"
