Live from Mar-a-Lago, It's Saturday Night!

If you didn’t see the opening sketch last week on Saturday Night Live, it was really wonderful.  A Fox “News” telethon on behalf of Russia, live from “Mar-a-Lago!”

Making the sketch all the better is that Alex Moffat plays co-host Tucker Carlson – and he’s brilliant.  You’d think Tucker Carlson would be a hard person to imitate, having a largely flat voice, but Bennett nails it full on.

And it’s better still that SNL dressed him in a bow tie.  A small point that did not go unnoted.  Carlson might be wearing regular neckties these days, and for a while, but that’s how he came to fame, and it speaks to deeply to who he is.
