This evening, actor Tracy Letts won the Tony Award as Best Actor in a play, for Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf? I mention this because, what didn't get mentioned during the broadcast, is that he is the same Tracy Letts (from the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago) who in 2008 won the Pulitzer Prize (and Tony Award) for writing the wonderful play, August: Osage County.
He followed that up with another of his terrific plays, Superior Donuts, which I saw here at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood.
Quite a talented fellow, that.
