If you didn't see Last Week Tonight with John Oliver last night, his Main Story was about Subscriptions. As he says (a couple of times), no, this isn't the most important story in the news -- but it does have importance. And they make the story interesting, entertaining and very funny. It's about how so many products are moving to subscription-based services, rather than purchase outright -- while often being deceptive to get people to sign up, and often making it extremely difficult to cancel your subscription.
