Last Week Tonight Last Night

He's back from hiatus.  If you missed John Oliver's HBO show, here's the main story about Medicare for All.  It was done with enthusiasm, humor and thoughtfulness, though I found it one of his weaker efforts.  In trying to explain Medicare for All and cover so much ground in 20 minutes, I thought it glossed over so much, was more surface than usual, and didn't really make the case very clearly what they were trying to address.  Basically, it was a more about saying "The top complaints about Medicare for All are Cost, Choice and Long Waits" and then showed why we already have that to some degree today for some people.  But "To some degree for some people" isn't the same as "This is what health care is today" and pointing at conditions today doesn't explain why Medicare for All is the best solution of others being proposed.  It might be the best, but I just didn't think the broadcast made that case.  Especially when, "We don't really know what the cost will be, it could be astronomical" is one of your arguments.  Still, it was informative and very entertaining at the same time.
