Just a Trip to a Pennsylvania Neighborhood
This is great. Trump visited Latrobe, Pennsylvania yesterday. A local resident spoke out about it. Bear with me, it's worth it. Honest.
Among many things, she said --
"I think he's just a horrible person....I will probably go into mourning [if he wins]. I can't even imagine. I would feel so badly...Mr Trump seldom tells the truth. If he does, it’s just a fluke, I think. But the fact [is] that I can’t believe anything he says, not even the simplest thing....This man is pathologically ill. Mentally ill.”
The woman who said that is 91-year-old Joanne Rogers. She's the widow of her late-husband Fred, better known as Mister Rogers.
Well, that was unexpected.
My favorite part of her interview with The Daily Beast was this --
"Fred tried to stay pretty quiet about politics, basically because his program was for children," she said, explaining why she spoke out. "I’m alone now. I don’t do a program for children.”
It kind of puts a totally different adult perspective on growing up and "Actually, no, I don't like you just the way you are."
I am so looking forward to see if Trump tries to smear her as an awful person...
