It Isn't Exactly Human Nature After All

There are a lot of oddities one spots when wandering around Las Vegas, as you might imagine.  Actually, you probably don't have to do much wandering.  The monumental over-hype nearly everywhere is high on the list and hard to select one that stands out.  Occasionally, too, there are shows that make a play for getting on the Odd List.

One that has leapt out for me is a show that's playing at the Venetian.  It's called Human Nature:  The Motown Show.  It's four white guys singing, I guess, the hits of Motown.

Because nothing says "Motown" like four white guys.

(The show is "Presented by" Smoky Robinson.  I don't know what he was thinking.  Actually, I think we probably do.  But still...)

Of course, the truth is that they might be perfectly talented.  And I suspect that, within reason, they are.

But still...

And yes, I believe that four white guys -- or just one -- should be able to sing the hits of Motown whenever and wherever they want.  And do it perhaps wonderfully.  Or not.

But still -- nothing says "Motown" like four white guys.
