This is an absolutely fascinating "experiment." A Dutch prankster group, Dit Is Normaal, took a regular Christian Bible, but put a cover on it to make it appear to be the Quran. They then highlighted several especially brutal passages and read them to people on the street to get their reactions. Their reactions were...well, pretty much what you would expect from those who grew up believing what they'd been told about how barbaric Islam is compared to their own peaceful religious teachings . And then, it was revealed to them what the book actually was.
I was a little taken aback by how funny the people on the street thought it was, though there's also something refreshing about how the Dutch didn't get all up-in-arms defensive about mixing up the words of the Bible with the Quran. And then after the initial laughing, there are some quite reasonable, thoughtful comments.
