Hello!

This is one of my favorite numbers from the 2011 Tony Award-winning musical, Book of Mormon, which opens the show, titled "Hello."  However, the year it won for Best Musical, the producers used a different song instead on the broadcast -- understandably, because that one is probably the best, called "I Believe," (which I posted here).  The score, as my likely know, is by the two fellows who created South Park, Trey Park and Matt Stone, along with Robert Lopez (who had previously collaborated on the score for the Tony-winnings, Avenue Q).

However, the following year, the 2012 Tonys did something uncommon -- the opened the broadcast with a song from the previous year.  And it was that wonderful, "Hello".  Even better, they did something fun with it to lead into the number.

If you saw it, it's such a fun number that it's worth seeing again.  But if you hadn't -- just say, "Hello."
