Happiness as a First Language

A month ago, I wrote a piece here about my friend Valerie Alexander who had recently written a "self-help" type book, Happiness...as a Second Language, and then wrote an article for her Huffington Post column that had just gone viral, with 50,000 views on Facebook.

Well, good things keep happening to good people.  And we here at Elisberg Industries officially like that.

Valerie has started a week-long promotion of her book, and today was the start.  After just one day -- one freaking day! -- take a look what has happened to her book.

Valerie's book is now #1 in three categories on Amazon.  And it's #110 overall in Kindle sales.

Hey, like I say -- we tries nots to steers ya wrong.

What's quite bizarre about this is that I was really happy for Valerie earlier in the evening, two hours ago, when her book was #5,006 over all.  And #1, #5 and #18.  But it's even more odd that just that -- when I saw that it was now #1 in all three categories,  And #389 overall.  I took a screen shot and a half-hour later prepared to write this.  But first, I checked out the Amazon page to get the address -- and in that short passage of time, it jumped to #110.

Well, dang, good for Valerie.  The good guys are winning.

The way it's going, I just have to suspect that this isn't it's peak...
