Last night I watched some of the American Country Music awards show. And boy, I'll tell you, nothing says country music to me like Las Vegas. Actually, nothing really says country music to me like Las Vegas and Stevie Wonder, who sang two songs, including the finale. That's sure how I'd want to end my evening honoring the best of country music, yes, sir. Stevie Wonder on a Vegas stage. All you'd need is a pick-up truck and NASCAR and you'd be all set.
Actually, no, that's not fair -- because nothing totally says country music to me like Las Vegas, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Chiklis, and a tribute to Dick Clark. There might have been more that said country music, but I didn't watch enough.

Sadly, this left me wondering ... Are there no Sedakas? And the Newtons, are they still in operation?

If others would rather listen to country music at a country awards show, they should do so and decrease the surplus popularization.
