A couple of years ago, I posted this video, and I thought I'd show it here again, because it's quite fun and utterly appropriate for today.
Back in 1969, Joel Grey won the Tony Award for his performance as George M. Cohan, in the Broadway musical, George M!". Here he is again, 18 years after the original production performing a six-minute medley from the show for the Statue of Liberty Centennial. One thing I like about this video is how impressive he is that many years later.
Fun, too, is that the video continues for another seven minutes with a medley of American songs, performed by the Boston Esplanade orchestra conducted by John Williams, along with chorus joining in at the end.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
