I've written on these pages often (like here) why Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is probably my favorite baseball play in the game today. Something for which him being named in 2017 as MLB's Robert Clemente Award recipient -- presented to the player who "best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field." -- is only just one of many explanations.
