Getting to the Art of the Matter

The Washington Post today had an article about "The 20 best art museums in America."  As they explained, the paper's art critics ranked their favorite museums "based on their collections, exhibitions and history of public engagement."

And I was pleased to see that they named the Art Institute of Chicago as their choice of the #2 best, only behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  Honestly, as I scrolled through the list, I was expecting it to be one of the top two.  I'm biased, of course -- as readers of these pages have no doubt noticed -- but as the Washington Post writes, my bias is based on good taste and judgement.
