Frum Here to Eternity
I read a tweet last night from conservative analyst David Frum, that referenced the Teat Party "patriotic" protesters who showed up at the White House with Confederate flags.
At first glance, his comment looked pretty good, and I was impressed that David Frum would write something that critical about members of the Tea Party corporation. But something was bothering me. And finally I realized what it was.
David Frum was just telling these people that the way they protested was bad. But it was okay to feel that racist, as long as you don't give it away publicly.
To be fair, he might have been caught by the pesky 140-character limit (which is cut even further when you embed a photo.) So, at least to be helpful and add some needed words, I wrote back: "My tip: Don't have a Confederate flag in the first place."
