From the Management
I'm going to take a point of personal privilege here.
So, yesterday morning, you'll recall that I wrote my article about the one and only “Biden Team” pick would love to see – not a cabinet selection, but Hillary Clinton as UN Ambassador.
I had thought about it a month ago, but didn’t want to bring it up to anyone until after the election, It just seemed far too presumptuous before then. I did mention it to a few people a week ago after the election was decided, but finally decided to explain my reasoning yesterday here.
It gotten a nice reaction, though most people pushed back a little about Republican reaction – to which I said I didn’t care about Republican reaction and hurting their feelings and whether they’d try to block it. I explain in the article why I’d love her selected and why I think she’d get approved if she wanted the job.
Then, later in the day came this headline on RawStory --

As I like to say – hey, stick with me, kid, I tries not to steers ya wrong…
Boy, am I glad I posted that in the morning rather than wait! I know I’m brought it up to others a week ago, but for the public record, timing is everything…!!!
To be clear, I have no idea if she actually will be nominated, or if she wants the job, or if she'd be blocked by Republicans. (Though as my article explained, I don't think the latter will happen.) The main point is only that it was my whim of a wish that I came up with a month ago, didn't expect it to be more than that, and was thrilled to see the story, whatever happens.
My dad was always skeptical about my political analysis (or anyone’s, really) until he read it in the New York Times. Sometimes he’d point something out in the Times, and I’d say, “I told you that a month ago!” He’d laugh and say that it hadn’t been in the New York Times yet. So, I had to smile about this.
We return you now to our regularly schedule column.
