I have to admit that I liked Martin Short's show, Primetime Glick, as Jiminy Glick, the world's worst, most fatuous, clueless Hollywood suck-up reporter.  (If I had to make it guess, it would be that the character is in part based on an Access Cable "Hollywood" interviewer, Skip E. Loewe, as well as, of course, a compendium of so many of the interviewers that Short himself had sat through.)  I know the show and character wasn't to everyone's taste, but I found Short's wit so sharp and quick, particularly in the "Out and About" segment where Jiminy would interview celebrities.  It's not fair to compare his celebrity interviews with those by Stephen Colbert, since they're doing two different things, but I will say that I think it's a toss-up about who is faster with the ad-libbing, which is high praise.

This is an interview he did with Steven Spielberg, and I think it's a hoot.  At several points, in fact, it gets so funny that not only is Spielberg clearly fighting to keep from laughing (and not always succeeding) -- in large part, I suspect because he's probably so used to interviewers kowtowing to him as a Film God -- but you can hear the crew cracking up.

The video quality isn't that good, but everything else is.
