Once again for thems in Los Angeles who like public library book sales, there's another good one tomorrow (Saturday) in West L.A. It's nowhere near as extensive as the one in Hermosa Beach, mentioned last week, but if you live in Los Angeles it's a whole lot closer. (Especially for me -- it's walking distance!)
This is at outside the West L.A. Public Library, on Santa Monica Blvd., about four west of the 405 and four blocks east of Barrington. On the south side of the street. They hold it every three months, so the selection does tend to change. It's a big more expensive than Hermosa Beach, but still low. I think paperbacks are a dollar, trade paperbacks $1.50, and hardcover books about $2. But what most stands out is that pretty much everything is in either near-mint condition or brand news. At least that's true for the paperbacks. Some hardcovers are used, but still in very good shape. It runs from 10am-3pm. They open an hour early for Friends of the Library -- and I think that's the 10am start (11am for mere mortals), though it could be an hour early at 9am.
