Ah, the whimsy of die-hard Trumpets struggling with reality. There was a snarky, challenging note about how Trump gave $100 million in aid to Flint, asking "And what did Obama do?"
I explained what Obama did. It was his legislation that granted the money which wasn't authorized by the EPA until March. And I included a link to the EPA's own announcement, which includes the date "2016" in the legislation's name, which means it came during President Obama's time in office. That's what Obama did.
To be nice, I thanked the guy for asking...
What I wanted to add was, "Seriously, guy, do you really think Barack Obama wouldn't do something like this for Flint, but Trump -- who has cut the EPA's budget -- would??? C'mon, at least try!" And if he answers back, i probably will indeed write that. But I'm not expecting that. After all, other than making yourself look even more foolish, what do you say? And several hours later, there's be no response. Shocking, I know...
