...And Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite

If friends haven't seen me much the last few days, it's because I've been spending my time doing laundry.  As I mentioned, one of the big things you have to do before the exterminator comes to deal with the bed bugs is that you wash your entire wardrobe the day before.  I figured that that would be a hellish thing to do all in one day, so I started a few days early.  The thing is, you shouldn't really bring the now-cleaned clothes back into the still-infested residence.  So...well, let's just put it this way:  if anyone steals my car, I'm not only out a car, but my entire wardrobe.  The trunk is almost jammed to the gills.

I still have some more laundry to go, but it's manageable at this point, and I have a whole whopping day to spare.

Mind you, none of this includes all the clothes that you really can't put in a washing machine -- sportcoats, jackets, sweaters, that sort of thing.   I went to the drycleaners this morning with oh-so-many bags, and I think I will be on his holiday card mailing list now.

Then the exterminator.  The delivery of the bed and sofa.  Putting everything back.  (Not all at once:  I'm supposed to put my cleaned clothes in plastic bags -- which I did -- but don't take everything out right away, only your essentials.  The exterminator makes two return visits 20-days apart, so you're supposed to still keep most things in the plastic bags until he's done.)  And eventually get things back in order.  But the end is in sight...
