So, the West Virginia governor is going to switch parties to the GOP. Well, there is a fellow who is a master of timing! It's like a guy sitting in a life raft on the Titanic that's being lowered to the water, and jumping up to trade it for a better view on the bridge.
This is supposed to take place at a Trump campaign rally tonight. First of all, why on earth Trump is holding a campaign rally 3-1/2 years early, after only six months in office, I have no idea. Secondly, it seems he should be far less concerned with running in 2020 and more about still being around by the end of 2017. (If people donate money, can they get it reimbursed if not used?) And third, while I suppose it's maybe, possibly meant to show how strong the party is, it just seems that with all the things in the world to talk about, most especially as it's been reported that the Special Counsel is calling a Grand Jury, this rally and announcement comes across less like something meaningful and more like Nero fiddling as Rome burns.

It would mean a lot more if this wasn't his third political affiliation since he entered politics.
