Almost Royal: the Music Video

I didn't realize this video existed until today, but first a bit of background.

On the series I wrote about earlier, Almost Royal, there was an episode that took place in Nashville.  Part of that particular show concerned a song that Poppy (played by Amy Hoggart) had written for herself, and she wanted to make a music video.

(One of the first season's running jokes -- which was very funny, though did wear a bit thin after a while -- is that Poppy fancied herself a wonderful singer, and she was in fact terrible.  But they did stay consistent to it.)

It was determined that she she should rewrite the song a bit to include something for her brother Georgie (played by Ed Gamble) to do.  Against her will, she made the change.  By the way, when she complains here that everyone always talks about Georgie, Georgie, Gerorgie, he offhandedly interrupts her rant and mumbles that, no, that isn't true, it's important to know that he's absolutely correct.  It isn't even remotely true.  Poppy has a need to be the center of attention, and any reference to Georgie means time away from her.  But, she says, this song is her time to shine.  (Know, too, that though self-centered, she has great affection for her brother. As long as it doesn't impede on her.)  As background, here is that sequence from the show --

What I didn't realize is that they made the full music video and actually released it!  It's quite funny and self-centered, ego-maniacal, which ultimately fits so well with Poppy. .  The song is called, "Everybody Knows It But Me" -- which comes from a line in the chorus about how she's so beautiful like a dove, and "Everybody knows it but me."

This is the video.
