I would say that it's a bad week for Oliver North to start as head of the corporate, gun manufacturer-owned NRA, but since today is the 22nd school shooting this year where at least one child was killed (and nine have been today, thus far), most any week would have been bad. Though this week was even worse that normal for all the shootings, since it was also revealed that Russia used the NRA terrorist organization for money laundering during the presidential election.
I do wonder, though, if Ted Nugent is still on their board?? Given that he's blathered how Democrats & liberals should be shot like rabid coyotes, it's a Really Bad Look for the NRA on days like today with 9 schoolkids dead (thus far). Imagine how worse it would be (if that's possible) if any of the schoolkids were Democrats and liberal. Though it really doesn't matter. A dead schoolchild is bad enough. Early reports were that eight schoolchildren were dead, but now it's to nine. If anyone wants to send "Thoughts and Prayers" (tm), here's a suggestion: pray that no more die. One wonders if Trump is going to say something meaningful. Though one doesn't wonder too much. Thoughts and prayers, of course, don't cut it. And saying HE would run into the school is pointless. The NRA will not "do the right thing," as he suggested foolishly the last time. And Dana Loesch will blather to distract from reality. The reality is that arming teachers is not the answer but a distraction. And "good guys with guns" don't cut it either -- this was in Texas today. They're overwhelmed by "good guys with guns." But most especially with guns.
