I know I've posted a lot of odd and off-beat videos from stage musicals here, but...well, this one might jump to the lead of the oddest. I hear an outcry for people begging to see Fiddler on the Roof performed entirely by...Lego. Well, we aims to pleasure.
This is a remarkable 7-minute production number of the opening song, "Tradition."
I sent a copy of this to the lyricist of Fiddler on the Roof, Sheldon Harnick, who thought it was hilarious, and wondered when there would be a road touring company.
It must have been impossible for him to not admire someone who thought enough of his show to put the time and effort into this, and to do it so meticulously. But then, it's hard for just about anyone to not admire that, no matter how loopy it is.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
