A Change of Heart
This is a powerful, eloquent, admirable statement from musician Caleb Keeter who was performing onstage in Las Vegas on Sunday when the shooting occurred. He was a Second Amendment gun supporter and movingly explains the reasons for his change.
What's also admirable is that there was some polite "criticism" (not quite the right word) on his Twitter feed for waiting until something directly affected him before acting -- while nonetheless appreciating his change, as better late than never -- to which he was open and accepting of what was said to him. For instance, he wrote back to one person --
"You are all absolutely correct. I saw this happening for years and did nothing. But I'd like to do what I can now."
Anyway, here's his statement, embedded in his tweet. You may have to click on it twice for it to open up in full so that you can read the whole thing.
