I hope people who like Linda Ronstadt got to see the documentary on CNN the other day, Linda Ronstadt: the Sound of My Voice. It was really terrific – much better than I was anticipating. She comes across wonderfully -- very thoughtful and well-spoken. And they tend to play full versions of many songs, not merely snippets. It even had some nice, unexpected surprises and a really lovely ending, but I won't say more about any of that in case anyone wants to see it and can track it down again.
And happily that's possible, because the documentary is available On Demand for CNN. I was going to leave it at that, but then before posting this just found something even better -- it turns out that CNN is repeating the documentary tomorrow (Saturday) – twice!! It’s on at 6 PM and then again at 9 PM, Los Angeles time. (It runs two hours, including commercials. So, they have an hour-long show in between the airings.)
If you think this is something that might possibly be of interest, set the DVR.
