Whether one likes Pete Buttegieg or not, or even doesn’t like his answer, it’s hard not to admire his thoughtful, eloquently phrased answer to a tough question from Chris Wallace on Fox “News” about abortion.
I'll add this, too -- whether one likes Pete Buttegieg or not, or even doesn’t like his answer, it's hard not to respect that he went on Fox "News" to express his views and be questioned by Chris Wallace. Oh, P.S. -- and did it politely and respectfully.
Actually, it's been a pretty good week for Pete Buttigieg. (At least I think this also came during the past week. It was posted by VoteVets last Friday. It comes from a speech that Buttigieg gave in Florida. My only complaint is that it's only 2-1/2 minutes of his full comments. Yes, the music playing over is to pull at your heartstrings, but it's still the words and presentation that stand out.

Thank you for posting these two links. I would never have a FaceCrook account nor would I have a Twitter account so while I may be missing a lot of informative information, I’m not opening myself up to all the misinformation and vitriol that these sites push.

Nikon1, thanks for your note. While I have Twitter and Facebook accounts, I use them in very limited ways. Also, speaking only personally, I have no problem weeding out the misinformation -- if I'm unsure of something (even when it's accurate), I just do a search to try and track it down. And yes, I know most people don't go to those lengths.

Mr Ellsberg, thanks for your reply. While I salute your optimism that there are enough smart people who recognize the innate talent and intelligence that Pete Bugttigieg would bring to a National Office, I also remember my wife waking me up on November 9, 2016, at 3:30 a.m., to tell me that trump won the Presidential election. As an older NJ resident, I was positive my wife would tell me she was kidding; people in NJ, NY and Eastern PA know what a crook and liar he is and how could the American public elect such a grifter?

Nikon1 -- just to clarify, I wrote about Trump being fascist almost five years ago. So, I don't think most of what I write here can be seen as optimistic. But I also don't think the absence of pessimism is optimism. I try to be objective and realistic. Sometimes that means being optimistic, sometimes pessimistic, and sometimes wrong. And right.
