James Corden recently took his show back home to London, and he did a Crosswalk Musical there. This was a production of Mary Poppins.
There are a couple of things notable about it. The first is that when he does his Sidewalk Musicals in Los Angeles, they're outside Television City in Hollywood. So, even though they're odd and surely catch the commuters by surprise, I'm equally sure that drivers there are only surprised, and quickly grasp that, "Yeah, okay, this is Hollywood and that's Television City." In the middle of London, I'm pretty certain it's near-shock.
The second thing is that he has a pretty big guest star participating. I won't give his introduction away (though if you look closely at the image below you'll likely figure it out. So, if you don't want to know ahead of time, avert your eyes and just click the Arrow.) And making it all the more fun is that the person clearly doesn't list singing and musicals on his resume, but it's a treat seeing him dive in.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
