Adeus por um curto tempo. Every fall, I get invited to attend the IFA tech trade show in Berlin. IFA also has a Global Press Conference elsewhere around the globe, which I get invited to, as well, but have never gone to. This year, it's being held in Lisbon, Portugal, so I decided to go, and add a couple days to make it more of a trip. I take off shortly, and will be back in about a week. After a layover in Philadelphia, and a switch of planes, I land at 9:15 AM in Lisbon on Monday morning, and expect I'll get through customs, to the hotel and checked in by noon -- which is 4 AM in Los Angeles. I don't expect to jump online right away, but will likely get something posted that evening...which will be Monday afternoon. And hey, who knows, if I have time in Philly maybe I'll be able to pop in here before then. I'll try to post at least once each day, maybe more, though with the eight-hour time difference and not knowing my schedule yet well-enough, it's hard to say when I'll get around to it, though I do know that pieces will show up here at odd hours. But if they happen to be posted in the middle of the night L.A. time, they keep fresh for you until the morning. In the meantime, the elves will have the run of the place, and keep the homestead running. I won't say "in good shape" because I know that is wishful thinking. But I have the refrigerator stocked for them, and have a pot of paella sitting on the stove. Until later...
