So, do you remember during the Alabama campaign for U.S. Senate when Roy Moore's wife Kayla tried to prove that her husband and her weren't anti-Semitic because, as she leaned toward the crowd and said with a big smirk on her face, "one of our lawyers is a Jeeeeeew!" Well...it turns out that many decades ago that very lawyer had a religious experience and not only started going to the Mormon church, but he has long-since converted to become an evangelical Christian. No, really! I guess that's as close to a Jeeeeeew as the Moores are willing to go. Of course, by these same Moore Family Standards -- being born Jewish, but becoming an evangelical Christian -- I'm waiting for them to add that as further proof they're not anti-Semitic they take a Jeeeeeeew as their Lord and Savior... Another takeaway from this is that when a newspaper does great, meticulous research to uncover dirty secrets about your sick and sordid past...you really don't want to start trying to smear them and impugning their motives. Because they might decide to keep checking up on you every now and then...
