The Huffington Post had a front page banner headline today about a tone-deaf statement by Wayne LaPierre, president of the fringe hate group, the NRA. He gave a torrid, inflammatory speech on weaponry, which included a heartless mention, oblivious to all the recent massacres, including that of 20 children, that "The liberal media can keep hating on me, but I'm still standing."
The Huffington Post's coverage included a pithy sub-headline that in just a few words put the cruel, self-centered thoughtless of Mr. LaPierre and his outlier group into wrenching perspective. Whoever wrote the sub-headline deserves a raise.
