I think today is a day when we just need some Ernie and "Rubber Duckie."
To give full credit, the song was written by Jeff Moss. It's sort of bizarre, though charming to think that 1970 was a time that a song like this could actually become a big radio hit, reaching #16 on the Billboard charts. But being released in the summer(and who had the idea to release this at all, anytime, is one of the wonders of the world) it just hit the spot and was the perfect "summer song."
It still hits the spot.
