Nothing of substantive note here, just that I said a while back that I'd post some of the photographs I took on my recent visit to the Chicago Art Institute. This is another in the collection. It's probably Edward Hopper's most famous paining, "Nighthawks."
The painting sits in their Modern American Art collection, of course. I enjoyed the room, though wasn't bowled over by most of the other paintings there specifically -- but wander over to the next room, and there was the afore-posted "American Gothic."
Anyway, I just think I should add a little class around the place, and it's nice to have good artwork around the wallways.,
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
