Thanks to Wally Podrazik, curator of the excellent Museum of Broadcast Communications based in Chicago -- which you can also find online here -- this is the very first episode of "Peabody's Improbable History." (For those who read the comments yesterday, Greg Checketts thoughtfully sent a link to the episode, as well.)
The theme song is different. The story, as well -- it's less an adventure than the history of how Mr. Peabody and Sherman got together. And it's the only episode I now know of where there are references to Peabody being a dog.
There are a bunch of commercial interruptions, but you the bonus here (for those who not only read the comments yesterday, but also watched the video) is that you get three episodes, and all are in in pristine condition.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
